Nepal, the tiny Himalayan country known mostly for Mount Everest needs our help.

Desperately.

COVID-19 has crossed the porous border from India and is ravaging Nepal, which has fewer resources than its larger neighbors.

Oxygen supplies have run out, PPE is in short supply, health care workers are overwhelmed and people have died on the side of the road as they travel by foot or bicycle as they and their families seek help.

UAF has a history with Nepal and its people since the devastating earthquake of 2015. We have again been called to serve.

“The people of Nepal are suffering,” said UAF president John Alex. “They host the world’s adventurers as they climb Mount Everest, and now they need support. . Without medical aid people will continue to die of COVID-19. We can help and we will”
