UAF President John Alex Remembers Hurricane Katrina

IMG_6310-2Katrina was my proudest moment as an American.  Driving a truck full of medicine on the highway at 2 a.m. in erie silence, I was surrounded by fire trucks, police cars, ambulances and regular people in a convoy from all across the country on one mission; save the people of New Orleans.  It wasn’t about race, gender or political party.  It was about humanity
