UAF completes first three houses in Haiti: The United Aid Foundation team led by Board Member Mike Wnek, Logistics Head Ryan Alex, and volunteer Jon Schmitz travelled to the village of Simonette, Haiti last weekend and constructed the first 3 permanent homes there. Accompanied by home designer Bob Black, CGR, CAPS and consultant Cenovio Villa from Florida, the UAF team was finally able to put three very patient families into their homes after months of waiting for customs to clear the materials. The three room dwellings, both hurricane and earthquake resistant, hopefully serve as a model for the rebuilding efforts in Haiti, as they are both safe and cost efficient (around $11,000-$12,000).
Please join us in thanking the UAF team for their efforts. We have three more foundations built and need assistance in sponsoring homes. Contact us for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
